An independent research-based non-profit organization. We’re dedicated to inspiring and engaging learners through stimulating research, materials and tool development, and professional development.

Our team is passionate about promoting equal access to learning opportunities in a variety of educational settings. We’re committed to teaching and motivating all learners so they’re able to develop the skills and confidence they need to ask questions, solve problems, and expand their options in higher education and career development.

Today, we reach millions of learners worldwide, embracing educational initiatives in K-12 classrooms, afterschool programs, community colleges, adult education centers, universities, zoos, aquariums, national parks, and research institutions. We closely evaluate and measure the impact of STEM on learning experiences and, in turn, the people and projects they reach. Our Leadership Team consists of forward-thinking math and science professionals, nationally recognized in their fields.

Because we understand STEM moves the world forward, we are committed to moving STEM learning forward.

MXT REALITY (pronounced “Mixed Reality” and "MXT") is a multi-sensory creative studio based in Seattle, WA.  Our vision is to enhance human experiences. Our integration of multi-sensory capabilities, accessibility-friendly peripherals, and multi-user interactions redefines shared moments

across all devices.

Since 2013, we've operated in Seattle, WA, and London, UK, serving global clients. Our solutions span holograms, monitor arrays, full motion simulators, VR, AR, MR, and more for training, education, medical, and beyond.

With 150+ XR experiences, 400M AR views, 3M app downloads, and 1K daily VR users, we offer full XR development, consulting, multimedia production, and application publishing.

We are MXT reality

Developed by MXTreality for and with EdGE at TERC, terc.edu/edge, as part of an NSF-funded project (#2005447) researching and developing a STEM-based VR game for a broad audience, including neurodivergent players.

 

This work is part of a collaboration between MXTreality & TERC to broaden participation in informal STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) learning for all, yet with a special focus on neuro-diverse and autistic learners through the magic offered via virtual reality.

FOUNDATIONAL CONCEPTS

TERC, MXT, and Landmark college together with students worked together to ensure the foundation of the experience is built around collaborative input, so everyone feels welcome

INCLUSIVE 

The experience can be customized to the users content, these include sounds, brightness, colors,controls, subtitles, and more. 

CUSTOMIZABLE

The backbone of this experince incorporates real science and knowledge about Europa, the most likely place to find life outside of planet Earth.  Puzzles, physics, and history, are built on the STEM principles whereever possible.

STEM

While the core of this experience is in virtual reality, many elements can be experienced on multiple devices inlucind Augmented Reality (AR) on phones, 3D models on PCs, and a LITE version of the experience on any device.
